It's not as though the left lacks its share of similar sins. MLK was a serial philanderer and plagiarist. One FBI document suggests he was present for a rape, and encouraged the perp. Somehow, all this gets left out of the narrative.
The nature of politics and activism is such that you wouldn't want your kid marrying most of them. Most anyone seeking that kind of attention and power has real issues. Very few people who go into public service seek to serve anyone other than themselves, and the ones that do rarely last long. Who would want to be surrounded by such shallow, grasping people?
This is simply not the case. Maybe more prevalent at the very upper echelons but falls dangerously into the ‘they’re all as bad as each other’ narrative.
