I always found especially with Peterson, is that he’s not making any sense to me. I’m trying really hard to work out his point but it just seems to be a lot of unrelated words and concepts put together without any real cohesion. It’s mad how he’s popular. It’s like people are seeing something completely different.

some people double down on a mistake, because of pride or stubbornness. when the mistake snowballs and eventually overwhelms them if they're lucky enough to have a benefactor to push them through therapy, then the snowball and mistakes can be unpicked and a realisation can be arrived at. Often people know exactly where they've fecked up, the road to hell being paved with good intentions and all, so the talking it out is the catharsis that moves them past the issue. Dependent on who else was harmed and why along the way is part of the process of healing and growing and learning and blah blah blah.

pride or stubbornness or stupidity or bloody mindedness or meanness or simply being abusive*

problem peterson has is he was a respected psychologist but someone got him chatting outside of his strengths and he got a bit to keen on the sound of his own hype. instead of shutting his trap he decided to take on the world via twitter and has been a target for a few laughs ever since. his brand is knackered, hes tainted goods, and it'd be best for everyone if he left the limelight well alone and shut the feck up.

Like when was critiquing scientific modelling, its obvious quite quickly he hasn't the first clue about the subject he is discussing. Its like a GCSE student answering an english lit question on a book they couldn't be arsed reading
