Him and Jonathan Ross should of been finished after that prank call back in the day.
It seems to have been the beginning of the fall for both, Ross was the BBC's top Saturday night interviewer, and the show was actually pretty good, he took his show over to ITV but the ad breaks were to intrusive and we got less time with the stars. I never understood the draw of brand, absurdist language use to one side, he never seemed to have any identifiable talent besides being a reformed drug abuser (and more power to him for overcoming that) - he was also massively out of his depth on HIGNFY because he's a complete non-entity.
You've set me thinking now, I wonder if Sachs grand daughter will make an appearance tonight. Can't see Perry showing up, friends of Peaches Geldof perhaps. His release last night has only stoked this piranha frenzy more so.

I am not a fan of him and a lot of his views but I have seen him go toe to toe with some pretty smart people on talk shows and podcasts and he generally does pretty well. To be able to do this particularly in front of live audiences is not easy to do. You need a presence, timing and charisma that is rare

He is a complete idiot who hides behind big words

Correct. Here’s my thoughts on him in an earlier, unrelated post. Includes a book review, for good measure.

Yeah, Someone bought me his book Revolution, for Xmas, as he’d started dipping into the political realm, and I thought it was one of the worst books I’d ever read.

Poorly thought through, sub-GCSE level analysis of political theory. Worst of all, it was shockingly badly written with a genuine lack of insight, intelligence or wit throughout.

He’s a guy who got by on a good vocabulary, and an interesting history, who’s now worked out he can make millions off mugs addicted to internet and conspiracy.

Keep clicking man, you’re making him richer than his wildest dreams, while he tells you how the rich elite are ruining everything.

Anybody who has had the best part of 20 years doing these type of interviews would have taken a few L’s. To reiterate I don’t like the guy and if guilty hope he gets his comeuppance but those claiming he is completely devoid of talent are blinded by their bias
20 years of dealing with heavyweights like Paxman? brand has been powder-puff interviewing big brother contestants and boy/girl band members. He's hardly Samuel Plimsoll raging against the PM and establishment.
