And anyways, yes, I agree with you. No country should be another country's dumping ground for criminals. In the case of the Cubans, most of them were good people and law abiding, but as the paper points out, the key demographic was younger males some/many with felony records. This latter demographic appears to drive the increase in crime.

I agree, published papers although scarce in that field suggest an over-riding arc of non-sequitur findings. Juxtaposing said documents regarding such matters would involve a much more nuanced and fact based review whether or not the weather is fine or not.
I recall one faculty member described as an "atavistic douche-nozzle" withdrew in protest having been over looked in the pie-chart department but did state before leaving that younger males some/many/loads/all had felony* records.
