Think they probably have got away with it. Published 7 books, which will continue earning money. Just had a look at their Patreon, and there’s 666 (spooky) backers (minimum tier is £3.50 = £2331 per month).
Not a huge sum in isolation, but probably one of many different revenue streams, and some will be on higher tiers.
The internet has shown that you don’t need a huge number of backers to get a reasonable revenue. Convince 1000 people online to give ya a fiver a month, and you’re away. It’s a goldmine for the keen grifter.

That's basically Stewart Lee's business model. Convince 5,000 people to pay £20 to see you once a year and you've got a decent living. Of course, providing an enjoyable 2 hour comedy show isn't a grift. That's the difference.
Yeah, exactly. Loads of podcasts work in the same way. Get 100,000 listeners and hopefully 1% will make a financial contribution (that’s the usual proportion of people who will pay something).
Nothing wrong with it as a business model, but it’s very prone to a good old grift, and no shortage of suckers.

She is a top tier grifter.
I got my doubts a few years back when I realised her twitter account was 100% her being in some sort of drama and 0% campaigning and swiftly unfollowed as she become toxic.
I had no idea of how deep the grift went with her though. I doubt she has ever spoken to a working class person in her life and she certainly has never been in poverty.
It's like she studied Ken Loach films, decided to base her life on them and twitter has given her a career because as long as you say bad things about the tories you're ok with us.

I learned about this grifter here on GOT (perhaps from you?). What a crazy head-case. I will enjoy watching their downfall as, eventually most bad grifters--the ones who can't keep their stories straight--do fall hard.
