Lets take this a bit at a time.
If it`s being reported that you should limit your private car use while empty planes fly for no good reason, don`t you think it should be a major talking point and some action taken? Don`t you see any red-flags, that something doesn`t add up?
Where are the climate activists on this?

There are many climate activists concerned with one, the other or both issues.

This is not binary. It is possible to address more than one climate issue at once. I, for example, can support climate advocacy and activism to reduce the number of planes in the sky but I personally cannot do anything about it. I can, on the other hand, personally reduce the amount of consumption and emission by private cars by not owning one.

What about running around with your arms out pretending to be a plane?

I`m not specifically asking that of you or any individual. I`m talking about the hype private cars get as opposed to jets flying empty- burning millions of tons of fuel, yet they are virtually ignored.
Multi-nationals call the shots, they are being facilitated by the MSM and governments.

The biggest contributions to addressing climate change any individual citizen can make is to reduce flying and car use. The reason reducing car journeys is "hyped" is because it is an easy win that can be replicated all over the world by people being a little less lazy.

Who do you think has more clout globally, the auto industry or the airlines?

There are no passengers on those flights, the planes are empty but the planes still fly to keep their airport slots.

Yes. I got it the first 14 times. My argument was that the average person can't do anything to directly influence that. What they can do is not fly or fly less and reduce/give up use of their car.

Oh Lol, is he going on about the empty planes again? Stop wasting your time Lobster, he is irredeemably thick and debating a brick wall would yield more results

........and again "i`m not asking that of individuals" - it`s the MSM focus on private car use.

You're concerned that media is advising private citizens to take the best action available to them to combat climate change?

Meanwhile a cursory google of "Empty planes slots" gives me about 600,000 results with pieces from the Guardian, Irish Times, CNN, Wired and other "MSM" outlets. Not sure what your issue is here.
