Before I watch Curtis new series on Russia after the fall of communism I noticed the Fear of Nightmares on the Iplayer.

Great 3 episode series and in the 2nd episode it talks about the Neo Cons starting a culture war in the early 90's using the religious right and pushing the pro-life anti gay movement.
Can you put that into a 5minute YouTube clip with the word DESTROY in the title for my man @Oddball pls

You`re wrong on so many levels ??. Cleese is very relevant today especially his comedy stuff and the Pythons. None of which has aged at all, not even a little tiny bit.
Got a mate who works in high end hospitality who has met all manner of famous names. Reliably informed that Cleese is one of the most unpleasant people he has come across. Along with Tim Roth funny enough although I’m not sure what his views on wokes is.

Thats an actual thing.

How far down the rabbit hole are these people? How do you get THAT stupid, stupid enough that you just lose every grain of reality, sense and realism.

rationality, decency, empathy, and common sense.

Some bigots have weaponised disenfranchisement, a sense of loss, a harking back to the good old days, and upped the ante so as to mobilise and target those that feel they've 'lost out' for their own ends. We see what we do now because everyone has a camera and a platform and the social media deep divers can find nearly anything. It's a brave new world where bravery is outright racism and the irony of "what about me" is that those shepherding these types couldn't care less for them. The longer it goes on the more likely it is that in some way, some element like it or very like it has always existed.

Sad state of affairs.

Good film but overrated somewhat.
Aren`t you interested in it at all?
There`s loads of theories out there and i thought you might have a personal take on it as you said you had studied Kubrick and his films. I`m not on a wu mate, i`m genuinely curious as to what you think about it. For starters Kubrick was very clever picking the bones out of Kings` book as i think the film is way above the novel in terms of maturity, depth and pretty much everything else in between. Stephen King is great but he does struggle with endings and his writing seems mostly to be aimed at teenagers.
