Absolutely spot on that! He's the comedy equivalent of Morrissey. Someone who's art and work you loved, but have to shudder at the loon responsible once they start opening their mouths.

bullies enjoy being bullies. it's why theres so much dislike for the tories...Why do all these pathetic little manlets universally despise trans people is what I don’t get. Is it just because they’re the only marginalised group that they can get away with slagging off without being outright shunned from society?
It’s easy clicks and cash for the permanently outraged. Why do all these pathetic little manlets universally despise trans people is what I don’t get. Is it just because they’re the only marginalised group that they can get away with slagging off without being outright shunned from society?
Agreed, I just really despise it. Especially given the fact that these chuds know damn well that the trans community have very very few prominent voices in the media, and most populist politicians are basically trying to legislate them out of existence so they will get minimal backlash at best. It’s easy clicks and cash for the permanently outraged.
It's really hard to say.Why do all these pathetic little manlets universally despise trans people is what I don’t get. Is it just because they’re the only marginalised group that they can get away with slagging off without being outright shunned from society?
Agreed, I have quite a few trans friends who I’ve met through discord / similar interests etc, and it’s just horrible, especially given the fact that as you say none of these people who slag them off constantly have likely ever spoken with a trans person, or if they have they’ve done so in bad faith (that bellend Matt Walsh who made “what is a woman” being the perfect example)It's really hard to say.
As @Walken said above, it seems like certain groups of people have some sort of checklist to tick off.
Transphobia, anti-vaxx, climate change denial, hatred of 'woke lefty snowflakes' all seem to be bedfellows.
There's usually a selection of (if not all) MAGA, Putin was provoked, Andrew Tate/Jordan Peterson fandom, holocaust denial and the ever popular "tHeRe's tOo mAnY MiNoRiTieS oN tV" in there as well.
The frustrating thing about it from the transphobia standpoint, is hardly any of them have ever spoke to a trans person. They jump on this Fox news/Daily Mail scaremongering.
Growing up as a closeted gay young man was hard, but it's a relative walk in the park compared to some of the horrible stuff the trans community have to tolerate every day. Imagine reading the news every morning to see yet another news story or burned out celebrity calling into question your very right to exist. It must be exhausting.
A friend of mine came out as trans a few years back. I asked her opinion on the whole bathroom saga that was doing the rounds a while back.Agreed, I have quite a few trans friends who I’ve met through discord / similar interests etc, and it’s just horrible, especially given the fact that as you say none of these people who slag them off constantly have likely ever spoken with a trans person, or if they have they’ve done so in bad faith (that bellend Matt Walsh who made “what is a woman” being the perfect example)
Worst thing is a lot of that horrible stuff has directly came from these TERF scumbags. When you drill down into them though they couldn’t give a damn about women being safe, and are just outright bigots. It’s just targeted cruelty for the sake of political point scoring or internet clicks with no regard or care.A friend of mine came out as trans a few years back. She told me that if she's out and needs the bathroom, unless she's somewhere that's safe for her, she'll just go home.
She's pre-op, (so still has the male working parts) but going into the mens room means getting subjected to the ridicule and various snide comments "yer in the wrong bather room there mate... I mean LOVE hahaha" or the whispered "would you, lad?" behind her back.
The womens room is even more out of the question as people will be openly hostile "Get out of here pervert" and the like.
Imagine having to plan your entire day/night out around knowing where you can safely go to the toilet without being potentially ridiculed or attacked. ?
Excellent postIt's really hard to say.

I genuinely dont think most people understand the bravery and resilience it takes to be a trans person. I have a number of trans friends and their quest for happiness and comfort in their own skin is an incredibly tough one. If I can aid that by putting myself through the terrible trauma of using a different pronoun I reckon I can manage it.A friend of mine came out as trans a few years back.
