The original grift…

Gay Byrne was looking at launching a US chat show back in the day, but the execs weren't keen on his first name - wouldn't play well with the audience.
Ask him what his real name is and he says it's short for Gabriel - that won't do either as there's already a well known Irish actor called Gabriel Byrne.

Have you got a middle name? Yeah, Mary.

Dinesh D’Souza is such a dumb right-wing grifter and hack that even other conservatives dump on him. His most recent grift is exposed here by The Bulwark, a right-leaning news outlet:

While I'm still baffled as to how these data connect to (or contradict?) the settled-science of human-induced climate change as represented in the hockey-stick graph and many other robust data patterns (apart from air-travel being one of many contributors to anthropogenic climate change--something that is well-established), I do know that one poster here is very much interested in this topic:

Either Damien Carrington or Pamela Duncan, nailed on. Good work if you can get it.

The Times suggests the settlement was due to the DFE refusal to offer them support for their Judicial Review

A bit at odds with the "they've won against Transphobia accusation" that others have advanced.
I don`t think it`s entirely at odds, they did "win" a government commitment to reform announced by Suella Braverman and were awarded costs.

I wouldn`t say i was "interested" in empty planes/climate heating etc. To me it`s settled, i brought it up because i hadn`t seen it mentioned on GOT and there is obviously a percentage of members concerned about the topic.
I`ve always stated here that IF global warming WAS man-made then surely the empty planes fiasco would be the first thing to be addressed.

That's why I said "a bit"
Shall we convolute the discussion with semantics?
"a bit" in the context that you meant it implied "it was at odds".
You used "a bit" as an adverb.
Or we can agree that "they`ve won against the transphobia accusation" that others have advanced.

We don't agree on that. That statement is incorrect.

The DFE settled a case, brought on Judicial review, because they (I presume accepted) hadn't supported the couple against the local authority and refused to intervene in the case.

The accusation against them wasn't a part of the JD, the legality of the guidance and the actions of the LA and DFE were in question.
