So exposed, blamed Mirallas for that. He was actually our most attacking threat after he came on. Jury is still out for me.

Better today. Some good link up play but scares me and doesn't cross early enough

Today was due to him not having confidence to deliver on his left, understandable as he's naturally right footed.

Edit: actually came on to post how well he played! Although I had the benefit of not watching any of the Europa games.

Where was he at fault there specifically? The gap between him and Mirallas was massive and he did enough to bring the player inside. Our other defenders had the chance to do better there themselves, it's not all on him.

Cuco did well today. Provided a threat and energy down the left that the aging Baines is now struggling to produce. Not sure about his defending but at least he did enough to suggest there might be some credible cover available should Baines get injured.

Cuco's good on the flank if we play with a back 3 formation. Unfortunately, only Keane is really good enough to play with that formation. Holgate's still developing and Tubby Ashley and Capt Jags are too slow

When it comes to the offensive side of the game age has rendered him a shadow of his former self but I still see him as a solid defender.

It's his man and he lets him back him off 15y until our vox mate then is so far off the lad can turn and lay it off, shocking defending.
