People are quick to laugh at Cuco but he really was far from our worst player last season. Not saying he was particularly good, but when you have the calamitous performances of Williams and Bolasie to compare against...
Bolasie and Williams had games were they were good for us though. I can't think of a single game where martina was good, competent was about as good as he got and that wasn't very often.
Also bolasie had just come back from a acl Injury so there should be some leeway on the lad.

to be fair, Williams done alrite in season 1, but bolasie was a more expensive martina, would have shot him on site if I was kenwright the first time I done that horrible giraffe drag back and fall over move he does

Superb scapegoat though.
In all honesty, it was probably the perfect representation of our season and the club in general at the time, having to resort to an out-of-contract and out-of-favour Southampton reserve player, released by them as he was nowhere near good enough, shoved into our team out of position and playing there with no competition for his place for months. It was a disgrace the state of the club.
He was awful, but I've seen just as bad for us. I think Ashley Williams was 10 times worse than Martina.
