We didn't look anymore likely to score when he was on.

Defensively I felt we looked okay, but we are far too tepid in the final third and the midfield lacked any composure the second Gomes went off.

We have scored almost no goals pre season and everyone expects us to go away 1st game and score. This side needs tons of coaching work. Looking forward to seeing Iwobi, he’s different class to our midfield ATM.

Gomes injury, we were comfortable until he went off.
Gylfi was poor
Gbamin looked slow but it’s his first game so will take time to settle

We look completely toothless apart from Richy

Never a good ground to go to, never mind first game of the season.
Unlucky not to get anything from the first half, but can’t really complain about the result overall. Once we went down to 10 I’d have taken a point.

Not really an excuse. Davies is 21. Gbamin is a 24 year old international with more top flight appearance. I’m all for a bit of patience but we should demand better from a big signing up against McArthur and Milivojevic FFS!
