Lost yesterday, Another failure for Salt, no wickets for the spinners and went for plenty. Parkinson not even named in the squad. Rumours of a disaffected dressing room, with annoyance directed towards the players returning from the IPL.

No change of coach but Parky's decline has been steep.

As you say he was next cab off the rank for England not long ago but is now ignored by them andhas lost his place in Lancs team in both Championship and T20 He also has no contract for any of the Hundred teams.

Sad to see because at his best he's a great entertainer.

Some might blame coaches or selectors. Personally I think to some extent he's been sussed out - bowls too slow and loopy, one paced, barely bowls a googly, worst fielder in the team and can't bat.

A change of scene might be best for him.

Why don't Buttler and livingstone play four day cricket for Lancs? They've been in the test side fairly recently.
