I can live with that.….terrific & surprising finish.
No Roses match next season then.
Very “interesting” ball change at Warks request with Hants 7 down. Considerably more bounce with the change of ball. It is becoming a big issue in the game. Without it, Hants were home and hosed.
Couldn’t care less about that tbh (although I realise many on here will!). Winning 9 games and only finishing third indicates that the points given for draws & bonus points needs looking at as well.Aye, Hampshire were going to cruise that but bigger picture, Yorks have been relegated

Yes, I was thinking about rewarding positive cricket. In some ways, you’re proving my point.Hampshire lost 4 times, Lancashire once.
I don't think there'll ever be a perfect way of awarding points in cricket because there are just too many variables. I wouldn't say Lancs draws had anything to do with a lack of positive cricket though, in 2 of them they had the opposition 6 or 7 down in the second innings after scoring big totals, and another one was due to rain at Hampshire where the game was pretty well set for a good finish.Yes, I was thinking about rewarding positive cricket. That's one of the many drawbacks of reducing fixtures in the County Championship : the variables of the weather.I don't think there'll ever be a perfect way of awarding points in cricket because there are just too many variables.
