Shambles. and Foakes gone instantly. All of them, a disgrace! Awful. More battling spirit in Gomes and Tosun. Laughable. The Aussies turn this lot into paste in a morning.

Foakes has a very poor technique against quick bowling. Not sure he's better than Buttler to be honest.

This was always going to happen at some point with the way they were playing, so the important thing is how they respond after getting badly beaten. But it does look very ugly when you play like this and lose. Good bowlers are always going to fancy knocking over these batters if they don't want to give themselves time to get in.

Some really good Test Match bowling from South Africa, some dreadful batting and shot selection from the majority of the English batsmen in both innings!
