Great win for Lancs after again conceding over a 100 run deficit on 1st innings.

Unfortunately that poor 1st innings means that despite winning they lose ground on the teams above. Hampshire beat Yorkshire easily while Surrey have done the same against Warwick. Warwick slumped from 270-4 overnight to 310 all out thanks to some spectacular pace bowling from Kemar Roach and a couple of appalling decisions by umpire Billy Taylor. Roach was bowling big hooping inswingers, one of which went way down the leg-side which Foakes did well to stop. Only Roach appealed, Taylor raised his finger and a bewildered Sam Hain was on his way for a fine 96. Two overs later another inswinger struck the new batsman in front of leg stump, but the ball wwas swinging so much it was going well wide.

Still, it was good aggressive cricket from Surrey who once again found a way to win a game that looked to be drifting away. Sam Hain a very impressive player - a cert for England Lions when they play again.

Surrey 209pts, Hants 193, Lancs 175 with only 3 games left, all in September.

Crawley a duck and four across his two innings to go with his poor performances so far this summer for England. Surely he can't be opening up for the first Test against South Africa. The lad is a walking wicket right now.
He's guaranteed his place unfortunately. I think we'll stubbornly back him until the wheels fall off the England team then he'll be an easy scapegoat.

Any ball over head height is a no ball in the laws l, Bairstow there and Livingstone last week both out off over head deliveries.
