Yeah he's gone back to NZ to be with his dad who hasn't been well since before the boxing day test in South Africa.
England are probably the best team in the world in 20 overs without Stokes, so quite a luxury to have him ready to slot back in. He balances the side so well.
My mate gets very pedantic about this: it’s at Liverpool, in Aigburth, rather than at Aigburth; the latter is a separate club at the bottom of St Michaels.

Lancs 206-8 at the close. I reckon 220 would normally be a decent score on that pitch but Lancs attack is very inexperienced so impossible to predict how well they will bowl. Derby were very disciplined, very accurate medium pacers with Critchley's leg spin as a contrast. Danny Lamb, with 7 appearances, is Lancashire's most experienced bowler; he should bowl well on that pitch, as should Balderson, who again impressed with the bat today.
