Lowerhouse are a real success story. I used to watch the Lancashire league every sat and sunday. They were always garbage. But have made a stunning recovery.

Went on the worsley cup final last season against Burnley and they reckon there was 5000 on!

I'm going to the West Indies v New Zealand game as well. At least it's a later start, so you've got some time to recover. My other games are pretty spread out across the whole of the group stage. First one is this Friday at Trent Bridge - West Indies v Pakistan.

Big comedown for them after an impressive win over Pakistan. A short game might be good for us given all the little niggling injuries we picked up against the Aussies

May have been preferable for no game at all, these meaningless friendlies both Friday's and today's, with no status and anyone can play or not play or do what you like, are absolutely superfluous for England who just risk injuries with no plus side for them at all.

They have no merit and there is no message to take from either of them.
