The Middlesex youngsters played really well, but at 127-6 you really should be winning that game. Doesn't really bode well for the next few seasons if the youngsters don't progress. The bowling in particular is really poor at times. Also the captaincy (Harris), Bailey with figures of 2-38 only bowled 8 overs, whilst Shetty who bowled 10 went for 83.
 
So, got this 100 final caper on, ladies earlier, mens now, and had to turn the HT show off, it was dreary (I know it's not aimed at me). Anyway, they were making fun of tufnell, and using email and whatsapp and whatever else, and suggested he uses carrier pigeon for his messaging. How did no one suggest smoke signals?

Looks like the twice defending champions are on to take this quite handy.
 
Who would have thought having international cricket at the other side of the country 40 hours after the hundred final would lead to good preparation

Not that it's an excuse for such an abject performance, but South Africa have just come off a tough series with Australia
