Agree, but this pitch has changed and is batting friendly now against the seamers, far better for batting on than in previous days, need 100 overs -110 maximum to spare and 450 to win I would think.
Root has declared and lost before now when the opposition apparently had no chance, don't give them anything they don't deserve.
West indies embarrassed him and the pundits who screamed for him to declare at the time, doesn't want that again

Need a good start from Davies and Brown. 50-0 would be a great start based on current form.
Lancashire would be in a totally different league position if they could just manage to keep their foot on the pedal a little bit longer. So often they've had teams 6 or more down for nothing and then let them scramble to a half decent score. That's twice in a week now.
