Creative Midfielder Wanted

Yeah we need someone for the flanks, we need perhaps a right full back, a centre back for cover but why oh why is David Moyes not looking to fill that glaring gap in the centre of midfield.

You know the one I mean, the one where the player collects the ball from the centre back and drives forward.

The one who doesn't look to pass it back or thump it aimlessly forward.

The one who actually knows how to play football.

To be be honest the last player I remember us having was Billy Kenny, and before that Paul Bracewell.

All major clubs have this kind of players.

So why can't we sign that kind of player. For the record I don't think Arteta is strong enough.

Rodwell is defensive. We need a playmaker. One who is confident on the ball and is willing to pass it to either flanks, or take on a player to get a move going.

Defour, Moutinho or even Tuncay or Hunt would have improved us greatly.

I never rated Hunt that much...but he was Hull City's best player yesterday and really got on Chelsea's nerves, I could see why Moyes wanted him. £3mill was a snip for Hull.

Pienaar could probably do a job in the middle. We just dont have any wingers to cover.

We need one who wants the ball, can screen it and lay it off. Creative enough for me.

I agree, Carsley was a big loss, we need his type of player except with a creative view also, Joao Moutinho, Defour would both be excellent signings.

Our squad's form changed last season when Moyes moved Arteta to the middle so Arteta can do the job.

Unfortunately, we have no one to fill in while he's hurt. I'd like to get someone in who can play that creative central role OR play out on the wing if needed.

Neville does everything Carsley does plus looks for the ball a hell of a lot more, he was a good servant for us but he's far from what we need.

We need Arteta in all honesty.
