Some firms using this as opportunity to rain down redundancies.
That's an opportunity some firms will grasp with both hands if they are struggling, before the virus ever broke out I am afraid to say .......
My son so far is working for a thriving small IT firm they want the business to carry on after this outbreak ends they have pointed out in an e mail to all staff when the works dries up which will be shortly they will be furloughed 80 percent of pay with certain employees getting their pay being paid the extra 20 percent out of their pocket....
So there are employer rats out there, but also some caring smalll employers who will go the extra mile to keep a thriving business with loyal employeees looked after!
They will be also there when this ends hopefully to cash in on the rat companies who will struggle to get going again e.g. Losing employees customers if they come out of this with a bad smell......

It is a peculiarity that I dont think anyone thought of initially. I tested it last night, (online ordering) and fully expected my order for non essential vape juice to be rejected with a Corona Koff. But no. Royal Mail delivering tomorrow apparently.

So you have the warehouses at the retailer, the massive depots at distribution hubs, and the army of delivery vans all still operating.

My neighbours moved back to Australia at short notice last week.

Saturday and yesterday two deliveries have arrived at their ex house and I am having to send them on to them :(

I would have opened them, if edible/drinkable kept them, and blamed the delivery company.

Yeah, i work for a large distribution company and we'll still working pretty much as normal. We do a lot of stuff for supermarkets, the NHS and businesses so that's understandable.

Seems people still need their barbecues and hot tubs as well though, and their seems to be a big demand for white goods at the moment too.

Freezers I imagine.....
