I don't get people's obsession with using 2 DM's in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
It's crap, it's negative, and it leads to crap football.
With an Arteta, it's fine. Look at Holland. 2 out and out DM's, and they were a bit crap.

I don't think anyone is suggesting two DMs in that formation more Fellaini doing the holding job that Schweinsteiger did for Germany whilst letting everyone esle attack at will.

That's what I meant. Fellaini wins the ball gives it to Arteta who plays it to any of the front four and then goes to join the attack himself while Fellaini sits back and get's ready to deal with any breaks. Simple.
The best indication for me is if your back ups are nearly as good as your 1st 11. I think our b side could give our aside A game .........Howard.
