Secondly the defence needs to majorily pull up its socks, we conceaded far to many goals last season - something that has been a strength in the past. I know we had really bad injuries, looseing Lescott and new palyers coming in. But the defensive record was really poor and conceading goals against some very ordinary teams like, Brum, Stoke, Wolves and Bolton saw us loose some very vital points - if the CL is to be a reality you need to keep in an aorund 20 clean sheets. The whole team has a responsability to be more solid, but the defence really needs to improve.

Don't forget the three goals we coughed up in the first 20 minutes at Hull, ultimately cost us a 2nd finish above the RS in 23 years.

I'll raise you the no-show at the [Poor language removed] , and Landon last min Spurs , and , well , Villa .

United lost to Fulham and Burnley. Man City lost to Spurs right at the end. Point is, all teams will regret certain games. Even Chelsea, who did a double, will be regretting that Inter loss.

Agreed , but us more than most . We didnt start until Xmas and ALL OF MINE WERE AFTER XMAS .

That was me point , tbh .

Post Xmas form over the season wouldve meant 3rd .

Oh of course. I just don't think we should single any games out. All teams make mistakes. But yes, we made more than most. It was a regrettable season.

Staying on topic before its locked.

WE WILL FINISH TOP FOUR AND WIN A CUP THIS SEASON.

RS will be 7th and will be the most enjoyable season to date.

Shhhh.... From here forward it is TTWCBM@24 - the triumph which cannot be mentioned...

I am in favor of it. You all know what the 24 is about.

Keep your dreams in your noggin, lids. Let the boys make them real.

4-5-1.

Osman on the right.

Cahill/Neville a guarateed starter whilst in poor form.

Unable to change a match until its too late.

Not showing enough balls to to kill teams off instead sitting back and being cautious.

The ball spending too much time in the air than on the ground.

All those were criticisms of Moyes/the team in recent seasons.

While on paper we have a very good squad who are capable of success will those criticisms still be valid this season?

In a word. NO.

thing is there's no real worries about the players that have already left, no of them were starters anyway but we've bought 4 players in who could all play a part this season (maybe not so much with mucha). so we've strenghtened our squad for nothing already and if we can get that marquee signing we'll be more than ready to do something special. if it all goes tits up we can always resign Jo.

All valid concerns.
To be honest, I can see maybe 2 points above that will resurface time and time again over the course of the season.

I love the team we've got but like my man LCAB, Ive seen too many false dawns to be over optimistic. When it comes it will be oh so sweet though
