Yeah, you mean the gamblers that are too big to fail ? Like some scum said the other week re those struggling with mortgage payments -- they knew the risks.
We really need more safeguards on how future taxes are spent as it's absurd, unjust and destroying our nation.
The mortgage charter is a welcomed step. Not a solution but provides some potential short term relief with interest rates being crazy:

Don’t get me wrong it always goes down in the summer as the demand is lower but the drop and rise is an absolute con.

Luckily I got a full tank when it was low but that won’t last me till next summer so will have to buy during the height again.

Dont you have a direct debit that covers a normal years usage? Or do you have to monitor the tank level and order a bulk load?

It does - I always buy in August for that reason but a bad call this year. Holding off hoping it dips September now.

Half a tank now - reckon I'll be buying peak season too in winter.

Monitor tank and bull load mate. I can split the payment but I tend to save up and pay it in a oner. I’ll only buy when rates are high if I really have to. Rely on the coal fire more than anything

I keep thinking it won’t get as bad as last year but you never know lol. Might be worth holding your nerve till mid-late sep like you said

We are on LPG, (3000 litre tank buried in the front), and it sends data to the supplier for top ups. Since I have been on me todd the bill went from £280 pm to £80, with a £1000 + refund due to the account being in credit, and usage falling off the cliff since Nikki left us. (had to keep a steady temp for her).

In the winter, the heating on for an hour till the log burner takes over.
