Comical Ali.
Its an utter farce.Went to Aldi today, got four days worth of food shopping. £60.
No alcohol or branded goods at all.
Prices really seem to have shot up in the past six weeks or so.
Perversely, it appears supermarkets tend to subsidise corporate branded processed goods (very small margins ,if any) with the healthy fresh foods ( 20-40 pc).Went to Aldi today, got four days worth of food shopping. £60.
No alcohol or branded goods at all.
Prices really seem to have shot up in the past six weeks or so.
Almost the same. Used to be a £100 for a biggish shop for 3 if us. Now it's a couple of £70+ per week plus a smaller £20 shop and that's not including a monthly trip to Costco. Its an utter farce.
When the kids were at home, a shop would cost about 100 quid for 5 of us.
The kids have all left now and shopping is still costing us 100quid for 2 of us and thats also without any alcohol, plus we get a lot of stuff in bulk from Costco these days so it doesnt even include a lot of stuff we would buy.
Insert your own jokes.
Used to be able to get a decent amount of scran from the Asda for about 60/70 quid. Now you’re not getting much change from £40 for a basket full.
Will the supermarkets be forced to reduce their prices as inflation comes down? I’m going to guess no.
