I’m booked in for the 4th jab in 2 weeks, despite being under 40, because I’m classed as high risk due to my asthma. Had no reactions to the 2nd and 3rd after taking the knock on the first so hoping it’s more of the same this time, oddly managed to get a booking the exact same day and similar time to my mum getting her 4th

I never had any reactions to any of the jabs, but have been wiped out with the booster and flu jab this time, I had the booster Weds and flu jab Friday, feel rough as F,
I’m going to pass a pre match fitness test, later on though I think.

I remember lots of people on here advocated shutting unvaccinated people out of society. I don’t like to talk about those times though, I forgive everyone who was brainwashed into thinking that way.
I remember a lot of people on here advocating shutting vulnerable people out of society. "Just stay inside if you don't like it".

I don’t remember that. That’s not being shut out of society regardless, it’s not the same as say, sacking them from their jobs for being vulnerable or not allowing them in a pub or restaurant because they’re vulnerable, which is what people were in favour of for the unvaccinated.

It’s ultimately water under the bridge though and thank god such tyranny was never allowed or accepted. I don’t blame individuals for thinking that way, I blame the media, and Twitter.

Ultimately there are barmy opinions from both sides. Highlighting the extremes only creates further division.

We ended up having to make poor decisions, because we made poor initial decisions and lost control.

I don't think it was ever really ours to control. In retrospect to control it would've been to turn into China, but even mandating vaccines and masks didn't stop it (in places that did both) and it would've taken closed borders pretty much forever once you've got it sorted in your own country, as of the beginning anyway

I think all unvaccinated people should be moved to their own little Island where they can watch Anti-vax porn and murder each other as freely as they please.

and also thank them for providing herd immunity so the nutters can continue to live down their rabbit hole ?

We didn't mandate vaccinations and ended up giving people the impression the only choices were lockdown or free for all.

The debate around Covid became the most extreme voices screaming at each other while most tried to do their best.

Had we had early messaging about the risk, set up a test and trace system that worked and insenstivised people to stick to it (including giving them places to stay), not demonised people going outdoors but allowed more public spaces to be opened up for people to safely get outside (not everyone has the luxury of a garden and big house despite what some might think), put greater measures in place to limit flights in and out of the country and our politicians been more disciplined with their language - we could've gained a much greater amount of control than the ridiculous yo-yo in and out of lockdown.
