Generally feeling okay, but the lateral flow still came back positive last night. Might give it a go again tonight as generally feel fine at the moment.

I'm doing OK thanks. Seems to hit me in waves and I've been very up and down. Feeling drained today, whereas yesterday the cough was really bad. And everytime I sleep/nap, I wake up feeling awful.

Been off work sick since Tuesday so just lay on the sofa all week with the pup.

Take it easy and hopefully will feel much better by the end of the weekend. Tell work maccavennie has given you an additional 2 days off to recover as well

So this really isn't an attempt at pushing a conspiracy theory but can anyone logically explain China's seemingly ultra tough approach to Covid at the moment?

Is it simply a question of different mixes of variants and vaccines? As in they can see the UK and the rest apparently progressing well in these circumstances.

Whether we think the virus was deliberately leaked or not there seems a very strong consensus it was a government engineered product in Wuhan - so the Chinese know more about it than anyone (and for longer).

Mix in the countrys indifferent relationship with its media and the idea of democracy and accountability - so why are they seemingly wrecking their economies for the odd case?!

Given that the peak fever, generally feeling like death, was probably Sunday/Monday, the remnants seem to be taking a flipping age to shake off.

Yeah maybe but isn't it really damaging their economy as well?

Think its just different priorities - power and control over everything.

Also, if their economy is damaged, so is ours. Not saying that's what they're doing now, but a country who holds our supply chain in their hands and has little regard for their citizens along with near total control over them could use harsh lockdowns as an act of war in the future.

After posting this I thought I'd test things out with a relatively easy spin on the indoor trainer. Managed about 2 minutes. Still positive this morning. Given that the peak fever, generally feeling like death, was probably Sunday/Monday, the remnants seem to be taking a flipping age to shake off.

My timeframe was three weeks, I only felt really bad for a couple of days though around three-four days after when I caught it. Does seem to take a couple of weeks for the last of the symptoms (lingering cough, etc.) to wear off.

Took several weeks before I could run properly again. Was still full of phlegm. Don’t be surprised if it takes a couple of months to get back to your previous times.

Did a test this morning and it's negative, so that's a start I suppose.

I was recently unwell for 2 weeks with on and off fever etc. but tested negative for Covid every time during that period. Also tested negative for flu and other viruses. Although seem to be getting over it now still have lingering symptoms. I had been wondering if it was really Covid and just had false negatives but I guess I will never know.
