It all depends on local supply too.

Take the offer up, you might as well.

They're wanting to get as many people fully done as quickly as possible.

If you do it now, you won't have to isolate come August 16th either (unless you have it).

What's there to lose?

When you booked online, was your spacing 12 or 8 weeks? If you go back on now, you'd be able to move it down to 8 weeks.

8 weeks. If it was originally medically/scientifically recommended to space them 8 weeks then I’m not getting it any sooner than 8 weeks.

I had my 2nd 5 weeks after my first but glad really was on the lash in Manchester this afternoon and place was heaving with few masks in sight.

If you have any kind of social life you'll likely catch this thing sooner rather than later the way its going would rather be double jabbed than not.

I'm taking solace in the fact that I've now got it, and then I'm gonna be double jabbed come sometime by August 20th (that's when I'm currently booked in), so as far as immunity goes, I should be pretty much alright.

I've not got it awful – I worked 9 hours today 8-5 but had no sleep and it took it out of me. Work told me not to worry but when you're on an early it's hard to just rock up at 8am and leave everyone in the lurch during the first two days of the Olympics. Timing and half.

Well as I've been having the discussion about all day (not that I'm expecting you to read it), the initial recommendation with Pfizer was three weeks. In most other European countries they're doing 6 (Netherlands, France definites). They've now found in studies that 8 weeks looks like an optimal time for Pfizer but I'm sure there's leniency either way.

I've got it now with just under 4 weeks on from my first jab and it's rough mate. The sooner the better I'd say if you've been offered it but then again that might be me being drawn by the lure of not having to isolate.

I once cleaned the bathroom with too much bleach and got a sensory stroke, no smell or taste other than bleach for a few days.

But there are quite a few illnesses where you can lose them.

Fair enough.

It's a really weird one. I wasn't trying to be conspiratorial, I've edited my post to add a bit more in. It's just so random in how it impacts people - there's really very little pattern at the moment.

Of the five adults in my close family, four have it right now, and we're all showing different symptoms.

Nah, will stick to the 8 weeks I think.

Yeah fairs, the not having to isolate thing is big for me tbh. It might be saying it for me.

But given you have to give it 14 days after having COVID in your system anyway (or so they say), it's gonna end up being at least 7 for me now.

Stay safe then. I was being sensible but it's rife (but that's the trade off right now) and honestly, it's been a bit rough. Different for everyone but feel like I've had four different illnesses in the space of four days.

Hope you feel better soon mate x

funny enough I've had a heavy chest last few days but had a negative lateral flow today so all good for now

Si

My theory based on absolutely nothing is that it doesn't take many particles to actually infect you with the virus so it's easy to get and It can vary with the amount of particles so each certain number might do something different.

Completely made up but I think it's good

I work from home anyway so self-isolating isn’t an issue for me. I mean I don’t want to catch anything but I don’t really trust suddenly being rushed in when it was originally 8 weeks. Not with our sneaky arse government behind it.

Plus can still catch it double jabbed anyway.

yeah all you can do really.

I wouldn't call it heavy what I felt - it was a sharp pain, I've never had it before and honestly today was the worst for me in that sense. Like it was a bit scary because I was panicking about a pain right around / just above my heart. It eased though, but then was swapped out for the swathes of clamminess (really don't know how else to describe it).

The point i've been arguing the toss with some others about is our gov changed it from 3 weeks (recommendation from Pfizer) to 12 weeks initially, to get more people done. Have now moved it down to 8 weeks as more supply became available, but it so turns out that at the same time other studies have found 6-8 looks to be the optimal range for the antibodies to develop, or something along those lines.

It's all about supply in the area and basically they know that the working range is from 3 weeks to 12 weeks. Given supply improved they could then cut it down to 8 weeks, but won't be surprised if they speed it up again and knock down to 6 soon.

Sounds like a night of coke and mdma tbh

(Hope you feel better soon)

Those days are long gone mate.

I'm just looking agonisingly at strava routes I had planned now

Cheers! I've never, bar a bit at the start, doubted the severity of this thing. Not overhyped myself into getting worried though, but today was a bit worrying just as it's that shortness of breath. I can deal with a cold, but the tight chest was something new. Thankfully, been and gone it seems.
