You probably can't eliminate it (at least in the smallpox sense of the word), but you could massively ramp up our capabilities to stamp out outbreaks. That they've still not done this is what is probably going to hang them in the end.

Makes total sense to me.
I mean, its obvious there isnt just 1 thing we can do, its a combo, from washing hands to clever vaccines. They all help. As for TTI, I know its your hobby horse, and you are not wrong that its been patchy, and thats being generous. Bur being honest, has a decent system been developed and adhered to anywhere in the Western world?

We had to move our villa holiday in Lanzerote, set for 4th August, 2 years to 2nd Aug 2023 at the back end of last week which is a downer but better not to chance it especially as 3 of my nieces and nephews are under 5
