Look, we aren't in lockdown. Life is probably as back to normal as it is ever going to be.

But we do need to keep on taking steps and not be crapping ourselves at every opportunity.

If the data suggests another spike then it's better to be safe than sorry for a month and get more people vaccinated. But it's what happens after that.
Life is as back to normal as it's ever going to be?

No full houses in football stadiums ever again.
No nightclubs ever again.
No parties ever again.
No big weddings ever again.
No going on holiday abroad ever again.
No being able to go for a drink with more than 6 people ever again.
No theatres, no concerts etc.

Sounds depressing. We must get back to normal. I supported the original lockdown and the winter lockdown but continuing these restrictions at this point is ridiculous in my opinion.

The vulnerable have been vaccinated and the young are extremeley unlikely to get badly ill. I just don't see the risk of this big 3rd wave developing in the middle of the summer.

Wave of cases maybe, but a wave that will overhwelm the NHS. How??

The way the BBC are enjoying this going by the way they are reporting on it, is simply disgusting. They should be investigated in 35 days time or once all this is over, alongside all the other MSM mental health bashers.

Where did the 15,000 prediction come from?, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s wrong as usual.

Three deaths today all from England, but the cases are somewhat staying flat these past few weeks, all below 6,000 or above 7,000. The way I see it, is that as soon as we reach 105,600,000 vaccinations combined, that’s the end, we are on 71,672,208 so far with NI yet to report.

Just read an article on the echo website and Wavertree/Toxteth have high levels of COVID and low levels of vaccination. Its frustrating that there are people who are 60+ who aren't getting vaccinated when young people have gave up a year of their lives to keep these people safe.

We need the older generation to get vaccinated.

We were on around 1,500 daily cases a few weeks ago - today we had 7,490

We can still go on holiday, it’s just that the flight and airport experience is depressing and we can only go to certain countries. A friend of mine experienced it herself last year and she found it really upsetting, especially since her best friend at work handed in her notice the week prior.

The numbers are up nearly 50% over the past week
Be grateful it’s not like Kent all over again. At this same stage from the point it was seeded, we were on a higher number of daily cases than this. It was 50,000 - 70,000 per day. They are also knocking on people’s doors surge testing people in the high case areas, when before people only came forward and had symptoms.

No way will we see 40,000 people in hospital again, while we get mocked “Plague Island” by the international press. That won’t be happening again, the schadenfreude back then was shocking.

The main thing is that data has context and most hospital stays are short ones.
