Ugh, it seems tho there was an error, I turned up for the vaccine and they were only giving Pferererere.
Rang my Drs and they said im not due till June, they will get in touch.
Makes sense considering the dates didnt make sense, oh well, it is what it is.
Can’t see the Olympics going ahead
I shall be doing my bit, but 124 pints in a week is going some, and slightly over the 14units.....
If the vaccines are still effective (as all the data I’ve seen so far would indicate) there should be limited hospitalization/deaths among the vaccinated - that appears to be the initial evidence from the Seychelles. It depends what "risk" entails. If the variant isn't getting around the vaccine defences, then the tests are being met.
If infections rise but hospitalisations/deaths do not, there's no justification for futher measures as far as I'm concerned. Scientists will continue to cover their arses until the thing no longer exists; at some point we have to cross the threshold where we accept a level of the disease in society.
They didn't react as Boris was going over there to promote trade between the 2 countries so didn't want to cancel his visit. What is disappointing was that the govt were too slow to react again to this Indian variant. We could have bought ourselves valuable time. Now it is too late and the unlocking timeline is under threat
