Hospital figures - 7 deaths were announced today, up 5 on yesterday and up 3 on last Monday. 3 deaths were in English hospitals, up 1 on yesterday and the exact same total as last week. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to an even 13

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 4 deaths were announced today, up 2 on yesterday and up 3 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to an even 10

For the 60 day cut off, 5 deaths were announced today, the exact same total as yesterday and up 3 on last Monday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 23.29

There were 0 deaths recorded in England within 28 days today, the first time officially since March 11th last year though it did happen on July 30th due to a review of how the figures were reported which led to the current 28 and 60 day cut off measures

My son's school is across the street from a medical center with covid testing in the car park. Despite the vaccine being available now nearly a month that car park is still full each day with cars occupants waiting to be tested.

The county of San Diego has said there is so much surplus of the vaccine yet over 40% of the eligible have not yet got the vaccine.

They think herd immunity may not be possible this year as a result if people don't hurry and get it.
