You showed such an interest in the first article I posted about COVID and menstrual cycles @MikelsGoat that I knew you’d want to see this

All perfect examples of attempting to adapt and survive. The sector, traditional wet pubs, has been in decline for years. Slow decline, but nevertheless.
3 pubs of varying business models have gone near me, all covid linked. One had converted itself into a wedding venue, with an attached pub, so that didnt last long. Another just hasnt reopened, and a 3rd was purchased by new owners late Jan, last year, who packed it in pretty quick as well. Again, they had planned a big spend to upgrade and alter the model.
Nowhere's safe until everywhere's safe. That's the nature of a pandemic.I don't live in India.
*looks to Liverpool*Less chance of that now than last year, but there could be a mini wave.
14(?) months ago, I saw a graph projecting 5 decreasing waves, but that was in a 'perfect scenario' without politicians...and general member of the public idiots...acting daft.
Tell that to China or New Zealand.Nowhere's safe until everywhere's safe. .
"The war is over."Tell that to China or New Zealand.
Whats happening in India is terrible, but it has no impact on us.
Just like when we were struggling, our struggle had no impact on India.
The war is over, we won, get your swill on.
"The war is over."
By the end of this weekend there'll have been about 20,000 people who've been in close proximity with zero social distancing and zero mask wearing who's job it is then - as part of an experiment agreed by Liverpool politicians and its chief health officer with the Tories - to go into their communities and see how much damage can be done to them in terms of infection spread.
That's the type of country we live in. That's how far away from crank decisions we are that can cause surges.
If there is a spike in Liverpool after these scab activities you can be sure of one thing: the scum who agreed to them like Rotheram and Ashton (who were in cahoots causing the winter disaster in Liverpool) will disappear. Success has many fathers, failure is an orphan.
Lateral flow tests. They are not seen as reliable in scientific community. You do know that every single person there had negative test results?
There was a small rise for bistro type pubs, but a continued shake out of the traditional public house sector...and the trend (which was my point afterall) is a decline for well over a decade.
@peteblue - will you bring some sanity here - you are in the sector. Can you inform this young man of the decline, as he seems to be closed to me.
Thanks.

The point of the whole project is to take note and track possible infections. They are not being set up to allow people in the non-vaccinated groups to mingle safely. What would be the point of that?
Why words like scabs and scum though?
What a weird little man.
