So now we have the Indian VOC and SA variant in the country on top of the UK virus.

Here's an idea: why dont we reopen everything by 21st June?

That SA variant outbreak needs to be controlled at all costs, hopefully that doesn’t travel through the community, if it does it could well be stepping on a snake after going up a ladder this week.

This virus has a horrible fortuitous knack of kicking us back down the hill, just as we think we are taking a step forward.

Surely the Indian super double variant is more of a concern. I'm losing track of the variants now.

Yeah, the UK has coped really well!

Seriously though: the UK also massage's its total down.

Sadly, just like many of your posts, a lot of countries are posting figures that suit their political agendas and aren't based on reality.

Trying to compare the UK's integrity, with their reporting, to countries like Brazil, Mexico is a total joke, but as it's from you I'd expect nothing less.

Stand by for the standard incoming post calling you a Tory stooge and accusing you of supporting state sponsored MURDER.

As bad as the South African variant is the one ripping its way through India looks a bigger concern.
Plus the Brazil variant is really scary as there's a lot of younger generations dying from it.

But people are still getting into this country....its a big worry.

Hopefully politicians will wake up soon and allow vaccine patents to be released.

Devastating news.

Variant Scaremongering bullsh*t!!!!. Everytime we open up, the scientists are always there to give mental health a real battering with “variant” stories.

The SA variant will be stamped out, there are only 600 cases of it here and the Brazil one has been on 0 new cases for some time now. As for this Indian “Double mutant”, it has seemingly been detected early by genome sequencing already.

I will worry when it actually gets a problem, the vaccines prevent serious illness from them and thus death, although not actually getting the foreign variants in your body.

The AZ study that said 10% efficiency from the SA variant is very much disregarded, as they used a small sample, used a young age group and didn’t administer sufficient levels/milligrams of the dosages.

They scare us with this bullcr@p, then two weeks later downplay its severeness.

The latest ONS figures also tally up well to my Worldometer active cases figure posted yesterday.
