Everyone I know in Czech says that people are breaking the rules left, right and centre anyway. We spoke to a friend yesterday who was quarantining last week. She was surprised that the army brought her kids home as she didn't know they weren't allowed to roam free as normal

Ive had to queue up to get into M&S everytime for the last few weeks. Why doesn’t that get any coverage?

Yeah, we seemingly rode out the first wave and were being compared to New Zealand in terms of how well it was handled. Evidence points to us getting a weaker strain first time round, but it bred complacency and the government response has been to random pull on the levers of power like an old railway signal box in the hope something works.

This is done with confusing exceptions and increasingly without checking if anything is having any effect. We went from Europe's best performer to an absolute basket-case in under six months. There is a lot of frustration between all sides, it's not going to end well; bit like the matchday thread on here.
