I haven’t received evidence mate, but I didn’t say it, so I don’t feel the burden of proof lies with me, you suggested it, is there a source or evidence. The UK definitely is within in rights to protect its rights if a shortfall is there in my opinion.

I posted a bit above mate from the EU sending AZ doses to the UK in terms of custom data and the UK task force acknowledged AZ was coming to the UK from Belgium and Germany.

I think you are right, the problem is AZ I think they signed duplicates contracts with the EU and UK, as the two key stake holders both of course are protecting what they feel are their contractual rights.

I’d accept AZ have been poor partners for the EU and as you say. sounds like for the UK, I think the beef at the moment is distribution and share of shortfall amongst regions, and how that relates to equity of exports and cortractrral obligations, obviously the three key stake holders have a different opinion. But I would suggest the balance of exports to imports in and of the EU - won’t be the status quo going forward, that was evident today. I’d be surprised if the UK would accept that balance either, if it was reversed.

The relationship mate, I think has been massively damaged any way, the FTA has been ratified by the EU, the EU are suing the UK for breach of international law, the vaccine disagreement is just sour. To be honest I think a good relationship between the UK and EU is gonezos.

Hopefully a way will be found forward and today was just a bit of sabre rattling, though the atmosphere today was very un EU like and menacing.
Sorry. When you made a couple of references to things being "sourced" I thought you were referring to evidence.

As regards import/export of vaccines between the UK and EU, we need to give some relevance to production figures in each area. The UK have 2 production sites for the AZ vaccine. Given that, in the UK, we may have 20m by the end of March, and some of those you say were actually coming from the EU sites. So say the UK sites provided 15m, that's 5m per month.

The EU is expecting 40m AZ vaccines by end of March. Add in the 5m it sent to the UK, then it must be producing 15m a month at it's plants in Belgium and Holland.. Then you have the Pfizer vaccine that is now producing 100m vaccines per month for the EU, plus those it is exporting to UK and US, say 110m a month. So within the EU jurisdiction, there are approximately 125m doses of vaccine per month being produced. In the UK around 5m a month. Based on those figures it doesn't seem that unreasonable that the EU have exported 10m doses to the UK and the UK zero in return.

Hopefully they smash the vaccines these next 2-3 weeks with that India surplus of AZ coming in.

@BlueToff not looking good for those festivals mate!

Hah, we'll see mate.

I don't think any decision will be made until nearer the time anyway.

They still look on target to get everyone over 50 done by mid-april (in terms of first jabs) while still having a lot of people double jabbed too.

So suppose just depends what threshold they use.
