I've been watching Dr John Campbell's daily updates for a while now.

I'd recommend him because he's not a show off and just allows - as much as possible - the data to speak for itself, as it were.

Decent watch that, and clearly a good communicator.

But no real insight imo.

That attachment isn't working on my end.

How many of those 2000 participants needed hospital treatment or died though sir who had the AZ?

If the answer is none then thats good news regardless of if it doesnt help stopping you catching it.

We'll also have a specific booster shot for that in the coming months no doubt.

Well, I think that particular episode was a brief run through of the data for the day and - as he said end of video - it was more political than he usually does (he was pretty scathing about WHO if you stuck with it to the end).

Normally he'll pick up on a particular issue Covid19 related (eg vitamin D effects) and explain for the layperson.

I did watch the end. Thats why I said No Insight.

Like if he did a video early Feb 2020 and castigated the WHO then, fair dos.

He is clearly more experienced in medicine than me, but at the end of the day, he is a retired ICU nurse/teacher, so far removed from the processes now. Like he admitted, "Have they done the research? I dont know"

So him being a "Dr" could be a medical achievement, or an academic one.

What was interesting was the graphs from countries we rarely hear about; Malta for example.

But sometimes you need somene who clearly knows more than we do but isn't too involved as to make him too specialist. If itls a good overview of where we are then he's the right type of person to listen to.

Daily update and discussion of the days covid19 data/news + a bit more in depth on particular issues.

That's as much as you can hope for in 25 minutes...and probably the reason he has 900k subscribers.

Like I said, a good communicator, and interesting content.

But I personally wouldnt draw many conclusions from his actual analysis. Early on in this, before it hit the news higher up than item #5, I asked an ICU nurse, and an ICU Doctor, whats it all about. They both said its way beyond their pay grade.

And they were not retired. AFTV most likely has more followers.

You know when you travelled somewhere and you picked up the Metro and it told you what you roughly needed to know quickly rather than waste loads of time on a 'quality' paper (which is 'kin rubbish in reality anyway)? That's this.

The channel?

Yeah, thats an excellent point. Like I said, I enjoyed it, he is good at what he does, clearly has a sounder medical background than me, so I absorbed the interesting data he produced, but ignored his actual opinion as an expert. Cos he isnt.

Its like with your posts on the forum. I will defer to you on all things LFC/EFC related on an historical context, same with all things LP, cos you are an actual expert on those subjects. I might disagree, but that would be from a position of relative ignorance on my part.

My posts on this thread should be taken as opinion and not as the offerings of a medical expert...even though they are usually spot on and correct.

There is also news that the vaccines create T-Cells and those beat off the variants.
