I’ll get the full figures later but in hospitals alone, it’s a little over 300 down on last week which is a slight positive (it’s still high like at just under 870)
"We" clearly have different ideas of whats essential.
I honestly haven't left the house for the last 3 weeks, other than taking my Grandson out to empty spaces for some exercise, which will no doubt trigger some people when I said all the shops were open.I go to the supermarket once a day, (once Nikki makes her mind up what she fancies for supper), and the chemist probably every 2 weeks.
Other than occasional petrol visits, and the butcher for rump steak, (see above), thats it.
I totally get why folk with more complicated lives cannot be as minimal as that mind.
If only it was only pubs that were shut. 90% of shops open? lol Not around here, it’s like a ghost town90% of shops are open.
100% of people I know who work are still working, 80% work in non-essential workplaces.
But hey, its lockdown cos the pubs are shut.

I ain't even going shopping anymore, online all the way till this all blows over.
Banana buttys are GRIM.Its the one thing I cant avoid. Shopping for supper.
Its mad, before she came home, I quietly stock piled loads of stuff I knew she liked. But one side effect of whatever she had, is a complete change in her appetite/taste buds. (yeah, crossed our minds too).
These last few days, her desired afternoon snack are banana sarnies ffs. On line aint gonna deliver a hand of bananas are they?
So I just take extreme care.
Banana buttys are GRIM.
Get enough people vaccinated and it will reduce the amount of variants.J&J said on Friday that in the US and seven other countries, the single-shot vaccine was 66% effective overall at preventing moderate to severe illness, and much more protective – 85% – against the most serious symptoms.
Big take home here for me, is just how problem some different strains might just be.
Great news.
Imagine the relief for those 8m people.
My stepfather is having his shot on Sunday at 7.45pm, bit of a weird time, but he defo ain't complaining.
Im never coming for tea at yours!I know.
I have never seen her eat a banana, let alone have one in a sarnie. I peeled the first one on Tuesday, and I reckon its the first banana I have ever peeled in my life.
It was fresh crab and a dressing the other week. Again, we have never eaten crab, but finding some, post brexit/in pandemic, was an achievement!
Plain chocolate bounty bars the other week. Again, never had them.
You think that statement backs up the UK regulator's judgement?
Most of the participants in these studies were between 18 and 55 years old. There are not yet enough results in older participants (over 55 years old) to provide a figure for how well the vaccine will work in this group. However, protection is expected, given that an immune response is seen in this age group and based on experience with other vaccines; as there is reliable information on safety in this population, EMA’s scientific experts considered that the vaccine can be used in older adults. More information is expected from ongoing studies, which include a higher proportion of elderly participants.
So...exactly what those charlatans at the MHRA concluded? I guess they're all in on it together right?
There are two florists open by mine.
