R-rate has fallen to 0-8 to 1

Sure somebody on here can convert into something negative though

20,000 dead was a good outcome today we stand at 94,580 dead as stated by the Government own favored of measure of Covid Deaths...
So there's no personal responsibility now?

Do we need the government to wipe our bums for us?

We do have a Government telling us what to do like no other Government that I've known...

I would accept a Government being able to effectively put a cross a coherent message on its strategy. Instead we are exposed a Government issuing guidelines which if not adhered too, are punishable by fine, any other English that's legislations and law...

They are more than welcome on wiping your ass but i suspect they would plug you, however, they aint coming nowhere near mine....

Dont knock it until you try it

When times are good there's 'stuff' people won't put up with
When times get worse they'll still not put up with 'stuff+1'
When times get really bad, people, reluctantly, end up with 'stuff+3'...some, not too many mind, might even cotton on to the fact they should've took 'stuff+1'
Short term pain for long term gain does not feature in most peoples outlook...trouble is politicians have even less grasp of the concept.

There will be a new normal...vaccine + social distancing + masks as required + any other 'stuff the Govt. can get away with...people will put the old normal to the back of their minds.
Covid deaths will become just another thing people die of.

A Goodison night with a full house, rocking in full bear pit mode is a thing of the past...BMD, will be capped at 40,000, if we're lucky.
I'm off to bed, I'm depressing myself.

Nah.

People tolerate when there's a reason to tolerate.

When there isn't, they won't.

Right now, there's thousands of people per day dying, tens of thousands becoming infected, so restrictions are acceptable.

But when that isn't there, there's no longer that acceptance.

I think you're seeing no light at the end of the tunnel due to, as you stated, low mood/depression. I get that, we all feel it, but if you put a logical hat on and look at the situation rationally, you'll come to a different outcome.

I am reasonably sure we would have heard from someone if that is the case. That said, maybe their health services do their own procurement and that.
Nope, controlled by Westminster, its not a devolved matter... And yes there are suspicions politics are at play with distribution.

View attachment 115063reminds me of the sort of stuff id scramble together on a Monday morning when I'd forgotten to do my homework.
Who would have thought I was qualified to be Home Secretary at the age of 12!!!
Is that BullyPatel speak?
Good job that the public tolerated 10 years of harsh austerity policies inflicted on them by her party, resulting in many unnecessary deaths.
Good job we now tolerate public money being given to tory donors to line their own pockets with.
Pity no one gives a toss about this.
There would be more civil unrest if the so called reality shows were taken off the TV.

That £500 COVID payment, if true, is hands down the stupidest thing I've ever heard a government suggest - including Donald Trump suggesting the injection of bleach.
Anyone else think this was classic deflection tactics ? The cabinet will discuss the possibility blah blah = guaranteed front page news by all our sycophantic and unchallenging media brigade.

Nobody discussing the fact that the root cause is too many people doing jobs and other "permitted" activities that just shouldn't be getting done, leading to ongoing transmission.

A swift denial of the £500 story later as paper talk and it's job done and trebles all round.
