Pretty sure they will have be trained if they are doing the flu vaccine.
Trained and having the resources to take care of the situation are maybe 2 separate issues.

Medical centre or Asda to administer a vaccine?

Hmmm, let me think.

I go to Tesco to get my eyes tested and get glasses. Same level of care and ability as an opticians.

It’s the same thing with the pharmacy. They’re fully trained it’s not Barry from the fruit & veg aisle jabbing you.

In light of what has happened with previous allergy sufferers in hospitals when having the jab, he won't be having the jab in a supermarket. In fact the last time it happened, the medical experts were advising not to have it just yet, if you suffer from serious allergies. He is only young (26), so he will be far down the queue anyway. But when he does have it, I will try to see him get it in a hospital / Doctors, for our peace of mind.

If you were 80 would you go and get your eyes tested in a supermarket during a pandemic?

So getting your eyes tested and possibly having a life threatening allergic reaction to a covid injection are similar things ?

I think in this instance you are 100% correct.

I'm sure we will have a few cases of allergic reactions with the flu vaccine as well.

Think id rather get my vaccine at a Gp surgery than a supermarket shouldn't even be considered until Gp surgerys have enough vaccine .
From what i m told it's the supply of vaccines thats the problem not places to administer it.
