I have heard the argument that the near starvation of China led to no empathy for animals, not agreeing or disagreing but its an interesting take
If only it was that simple.
It`s the keeping and eating that`s the problem, plus the complete and utter disregard for animal welfare.
It`s stuffing a dozen dogs ( choose your animal ) into a crate big enough for one.
Keep them alive and crammed in area where there aren`t even basic hygiene provisions.
Use dirty knives etc to kill them or even just throw them into a boiling pan alive.
Butcher the carcass without any thought whatsoever to hygiene ( there`s that word again )
Store the meat without refrigeration.
Serve it up for eating whilst ignoring every principle of basic hygiene ( ooh, there`s that word again ) like washing your hands or disinfecting work surfaces / equipment.
Being poor has nothing to do with it, being a lazy dirty [Poor language removed] is all to do with it.
Hopefully, same goes for intensive factory farming... Just so obvious that something so unnatural is gonna lead to troubleIf this isn`t a wake up call to them and the world I don`t know what is.
Did they test for regular flu at the same time?Negative.

This is what you get after 3 generation of communist education. Anything and everything is tolerable as long as you remain loyal to the party. They don’t teach universal values and social behaviour.
The Reserve will go onto standby shortly, apparently.Got a contact in the Army. Who says they've been asked to plan for troop deployments to main supermarkets as crowd control to stop potential food riots. The Govt is now extremely worried. My guess is that they're expecting major supply chain problems in the coming weeks.
Could just be part of standard civil unrest contingency planning - no need to panic lads!
