We'll have the same issue i think. In some ways you have to have sympathy with it as every vaccine will be tracked on NHS ID numbers. So having the odd 30 year old immunised would raise questions, and if it were allowed, would mean the system was ripe for abuse.

Aren't the surgeries/NHS basically offering any vaccines about to expire to the nearest warm body?

Not ideal, like, but if it gets people vaccinated it's better than it going to waste!

Not that I'm aware of no.

I dont think they are walking down the high street ringing a bell with a sandwich board on, but they are doing their best not to waste any, where possible. Jabbing more surgery staff that have little patient contact, the pharmacy workers next door. That sort of stuff.

I get the Stanley Johnson but he is in the 80+ at-risk group. There probably has been some favoritism in getting to his second jab but thought I'd add a bit of balance.

We have huge car parks.
Trained Pharmacists who do jabs already.
Massive freezers and fridge rooms available for storage.
Dealing with queues of people for months, and are already up with speed to cleaning etc.

Amazed, or rather shouldn’t be anymore, that we haven’t been doing jabs for days already..

He turned 80 last year and doesn't seem to have a pre-existing condition, yet he was apparently first in line.

We all know why, they know we know why, and they're laughing in our faces.

Sad isn't it, a non mask wearer who flaunts it. Sorry but them people, unless it's medically proven can't wear a mask, don't deserve the vaccine and the same goes for the flat Earth protesters who think covid doesn't exist.

Makes sense, and not surprised.

The only issue would be the record keeping for an (eventual) booster. Not insurmountable, but important nevertheless.

wife getting hers at the minute leigh sports village 160 vaccines left over needed using was asked could she get down within the hour

Yeah, thankfully she has been off work on holiday for the last week, so her contacts are minimal.

That is irony at its worst. Putting herself at risk for months, takes a week off and gets it from some scruff in Tescos.
