It's real alright, just as consequence in managing this Virus currently we are reducing more usual needs on the NHS. For instance I suspect flu will be less dangerous this season as there has been uptake in vaccine, and also all this social distancing has lessened its ability to spread, you can apply this across many other transferable illnesses and accidents. The handling and outcry /scaremongering of it is a joke, an absolute joke. The whole thing has been a shambles from start to finish.

The delay and postponement of cancer and critically ill patients is an absolute joke and the knock on effect is going to be completely catastrophic.

The treatment of those in care homes, left there isolated and alone and left to die alone. When in reality, most of them are in there waiting to die anyway and I know it sounds crude but that’s the truth. My grandmother passed away in one last feb just before it kicked off and I’m so happy she went then. It kills me to think of here sitting there a few months later not knowing what’s happening because of her dimentia, left alone to die. Let’s be really it’s only really them that this virus is killing, percentage wise. If you where to ask them I’m sure most would want to take the chance and if the worst happens have their family around them in their final days than sit there alone vegetating for a year.

I think it’s a joke the way they have destroyed so many peoples livelyhoods, closing the restaurants the day before new year as a small example but one of many. They let all them business buy the food, take bookings plan it all. A night which could have kept them a float for months, and then close it the day before. Why not close it a few days prior, or New Year’s Day?.... No consideration given.

I think it is a joke, that they have kept schools and gyms open for so long if it is really as bad as they say it is.

I think it is a joke that they have built these nightingale hospistals yet non are in use.

Ive tested positive for it and I know a good 30 others possible more who have, Nothing more than minor symptoms. I know people (nurses) who where supposed to go for a test and missed it due to being hunger over but got positive test results.

I think that it is a joke that they are trying to claim to have spent 12 bn on that track and trace app! Get real.

There is so much more bad going on in the world for this virus that is only ciritically such a minority. The knock on effects of this and the handling is going to be different level.

I haven’t been finically/mentally effected in any way luckily but some other are suffering terribly.

I personally know a couple of doctors/nurses who worked for years on cruise ships who had no work during the summer, so volunteered to help. Let me tell you this there stories are a lot different than what you are seeing on the news.

I’m not saying the virus isn’t there it obviously is, but people making it out to be some plague need to get real.

So yes in a way, I would say it’s a joke.

Do you think our government are wrong over the vaccine spacing?

Do you think that this has been a political decision rather than a medical one.?

If so, do you think our senior medical officers are lying when they stand up in front of the media and say it is being done for medical reasons.

Right, but after saying you thought it was just a joke and just a flu, you told Moomin you didn't think it was a joke, but now you think it's a joke again. Hard to keep track mate. I wouldn't call almost 2 million dead worldwide (and probably more) a joke but guess we have a different sense of humour

The entire world has more less responded same, some have applied more draconian measures and are now reaping the benefits.

Simply have not got the clinical staff in particular Nurses to safely manage the beds, its not 2 day course, its degree level training these days, 2 years fast track.

Been a crisis in older care for years...


Could go on, your anger seems to be the response and policy in managing the pandemic, well noted here and every forum, current government like the other successive Tory governments have been continually warned about the peril our NHS and Social care was in, UK democracy voted for it to be this way, that would be the Joke if it were funny...

YES YES and goes against the very fundamental of evidence based practice in clinical health care, make no mistake this is political move.

And if you believe the upper echelons of health is not political, then you are sadly mistaken.

Are WHO right to investigate China?

Are WHO right not to back UK vaccine spacing?
