Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

There will be a butt load of house parties tomorrow going ahead for sure. I'd imagine most of my social media pages will be filled with them.

I'm really surprised by this. I know a few who are flouting by doing 6-8 person gatherings (still wrong, still silly) but know very few actually doing any big things. I get the annoyance and stress at the moment but I really don't get the desperation to do parties which will inevitably lead to issues, illness, etc

I'm more surprised you are surpised haha. New Years house parties are big anyway and people are hardly gonna cancel them one days notice. Obviously they risk getting dobbed in and fined but I still reckon loads will happen.

A "let's say bye to a crap 2020" kinda party.

Yeah, maybe I'm being naive. I live in a pretty populated area and with a lot of younger people about so maybe I'll find myself standing on my doorstep tutting and wagging my finger at midnight tomorrow.

So why didn't you present that in the first place?

In any case, @Bruce Wayne was talking about infection and then you quoted me in relation to his post making a comment on infection, not fatality.
He was talking about the state of the crisis there. Deaths and infection rate go hand in hand as you well know.

There are plenty of posts to vault from you regarding the Czech Republic versus the banana republic.

You could just admit you were wrong.

More like a “let’s keep this going in to 2021” kinda party......

They weren't allowed to have parties anyway - This Tier change makes no difference in that regard

Yeh but people don't often follow the rules do they? I've seen countless groups of people indoors in pubs lately etc. that don't live together/bubble up (we're in Tier 2 right now). I can hear house parties most weekends on the streets in my town.
