Wot?

Bit of a two footer, snide at that, at an organisation that has worked its nads off dealing with this.
Hard to put what I mean into words, not a dig at the people at all who have tried their best. The system is underfunded, too small and always at full capacity every winter.

I do passionately believe in free healthcare. I just can't see the tories funding it properly to improve.

One thing this pandemic has shown is the NHS is not fit for purpose unfortunately.

They may use this as reasoning to move to an insurance system in future years, a lot of people are probably willing to pay for adequate healthcare.

If that is honestly what they end up saying then theres very little reason not to shoot them, tbh.

(this is a joke)

Its nailed on.

Presser tomorrow apparently.
My wife said that the snippets coming out from the unions is that at a minimum all secondary school pupils will be delayed in their return come next week.

That would mean Year 11 and 13 wouldn't be returning on time. The real push is for primary children, bar key workers, would have a delayed return too.
Had a word. It was awfully worded, but his real intention was fine. Most of us would agree.
I wasn't advocating a ban by the way; a light-hearted jibe in the context of the two-footer.

Your family are very fortunate all round.
Unfortunately others aren’t so fortunate.

How about you think of others not just you and yours.

I bet you’re one of those selfish gets hosting a large NYE party on Thursday.

My youngest lad has a suppressed immune system due to his disability , so he’s in the highest of all the at risk groups, so I’m fully aware of all that the virus may bring to me and my family.

Making statements like “ make no mistake, the virus is coming to get you and your family” is just an absolute load of attention seeking hysterical nonsense.

I’m just surprised that you somehow didn’t manage to fit in your usual misogynistic comment in there tbh.

Yeh, apologies to all for any offence.

I do worry that they will use this as an opportunity to push insurance based options in future.

Folk who would need the NHS for covid wouldnt get cover anyrate. Well, most of them.

I used to have private medical insurance via work, and used it when my young lad need tonsils out. Also used it of my own bat for the snip cos it was affordable and the next week. The 6 month waiting list didnt really appeal, y'know.

In the context of Exercise Cygnus. What was found in that, is not NHS fault, that solely relies on the Government at the time and those leading up to this Pandemic.

What was Exercise Cygnus and what did it find? | World news | The Guardian

Yeh I get the reasons for going private but my worry is they'll start saying go private if you can to reduce the burden on the NHS and then as more people transition over the messaging will change. It would take years for that approach to work though.

Maybe my statement wasn’t aimed at people like you who are fully aware of the dangers.

There are still plenty of ignorant Covidiots or deniers that don’t consider other people or the consequences of not following the rules.

Cut the other stuff out... it’s very petty and so below someone of your intelligence.
