I thought you were saying lockdown is bad.
Im saying it’s necessary. Without them the economy would be a lot worse off long term.

I support proper lockdown, yes. No one country ever tried it in Europe.

Chinese lockdown without the fascism in it. Think it could have been managed somehow, and it could have lasted much shorter. Then onwards we go, minimal amount of cases till the vax finishes the job.

Getting “non essential workers” to stay in their homes for three weeks, with a volunteer crew/army delivering groceries/tests to everyone and closing the borders to all travel in/out with the exception of essentials would have been a mammoth operation but would probably have gone a long way to making COVID a manageable problem.

Not sure it is the sort of thing that can be done in a democracy though especially as I have been frankly disappointed by the number of people who have felt that requests for merely wearing a mask around others is an intolerable abrogation of their god given rights.

This is the disappointing thing. And while not trying to have a go, there are certain people within certain age groups who quite frankly should be ashamed. I know it’s different for different areas and countries, but younger adults have let the side down imo......
