FFS, that's been well established already that people who suffer from allergic reactions to vaccine might get symptoms like those described.

Perhaps you can tell us how many people out of the tens of millions so far administered have died or gone into a dangerous shock because of this....?
According to the article, usual vaccines cause an anaphylactic reaction in about 1 in a million doses. In the US this vaccine is currently causing a reaction in 1 in 45,000 doses so a pretty big difference.

Hopefully not a big issue but something to keep an eye on. Assume all the places administering the vaccines are well equipped to deal with any issues.

It's got emergency roll out. Those things can be tweaked.

The key statistic would be what severity of reaction is being caused.

Hospital figures - 436 deaths were announced today, up 218 on yesterday and up 129 on last Tuesday. 405 deaths were in English hospitals, up 215 on yesterday and up 112 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to 390.14

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 691 deaths were announced today, up 476 on yesterday and up 185 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 485.57

For the 60 day cut off, 785 deaths were announced today, up 552 on yesterday and up 182 on last Tuesday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 555.29

I can't agree with you on this post buddy how are you doing tonight.

Anaphylaxis is pretty severe Dave so the key statistic is that 1 in 45,000 people are having a severe reaction compared with 1 in a million normally.

As I said, presumably the places administering the vaccine are set up to deal with these issues so shouldn't be anything to majorly worry about. But it needs to be looked into.

My brother had his stem cell transfer today. I was touched he called me afterwards to let me know so far so good. He was in really good spirits given what he's been through and the uncertainty he now faces as we find out whether his body accepts my blood.

Fingers crossed everything goes well. Couldn't help myself saying that if he finds himself celebrating a DCL winner against United tomorrow then that's a good sign

All the best mate and positive thoughts for your brother.

Thats horrific.

This is Great Britain at its very best the one we all love and know! Give um a clap instead!

I honestly cannot see the problem with that.

It's a difficult vaccine to manage once it's prepared for use. There is no sense in wasting the vaccine as it has a short use time. Vaccinating executive team alongside front line staff is sensible as they are likely to be essential to trust processes (points of failure because of expertise) and from a leadership standpoint it demonstrates safety and confidence in the vaccine to staff and patients.

They are doing exactly the same in my wife’s Trust. Call goes out that there is vaccine available and it’s basically administered on a first come first served basis. They don’t want to waste a single dose, quite rightly.

The executive team should using there expertise in identifying those who are vulnerable in the community outside the group's first identified to relieve pressures on ICU beds rather than looking out for themselves, while holed working from home.
And I like many don't need a management consultant in my excutive team in my local authority who has no clinical experience whatsoever to show me how safe it is. While front line staff go without.
Everything wrong what it is to be British, with this me myself and I.
You are frankly revolting if you truly believe this...
