Going by todays Caravan Camper vans streaming in from the east ,most of England is now holed up in Cymru, all refugees welcome to Utopia, well compared to what's going on over the border.
I have to travel to work early tomorrow morning, approx 80 miles from where I live down towards mid wales, I guarantee I’ll be stopped by the police along the way yet thousands of caravans a day cross the border and don’t get a second glance lol

Driving north today on the A483 the camping and holiday day traffic coming off A458, was like a normal spring bank, its normally for New Year this crowd hits...

Enforcing the law isn't real work?

Of course it is. Got angry about it because to me it just seems a bit pathetic, going round and fining people for going for a meal, in places that are so strict with measures - have to wear a mask unless sat down etc, all table service.

It's pathetic.

Can’t wait to get my hair cut on Wednesday, enjoy a meal in a restaurant and go to the gym. Might even go whole hog and go for an extra happy Christmas massage

Anyway, York and Harrogate are in Tier 2, so obviously for the last few weeks there's been a fair few people from round my way going for a 'substantial meal.'

Got a mate who's gone for a meal tonight. Not saying it's right, but whatever. The police are now turning up and turfing people out of restaurants/pubs if their ID isn't from within the local postcodes and fining them £100.

Because y'know, they clearly have nothing better to do.

Big brother state, joke of a government. Absolute madness.
What ID? I don't have any ID that says where I live. Genuine question, not trying to be smart or anything

Liverpool in the last few days has seen a surge of taxis with plates from Warrington and Manchester, which would suggest people are coming to the city.

Good for business? People just going for meals? Maybe. The flip side to your point is that these areas are under restrictions because of their increased rates.

As such, they are potentially bringing the virus here, which can increase transmission - that may cost lives. Should the police just ignore such transgressions?

The restrictions are in place for a reason, and it would be much easier if people abided by the rules and we would therefore not require such 'pathetic' actions.

Personally, the law has to be upheld objectively. It's like when someone moans that they only parked on the white zig-zag lines out of a shop for a minute.

"Haven't they got something better to do?" Well no, and people wouldn't moan if they had actually witnesses the potential consequences...

... "Sorry your son was run over and killed because they stepped out, when their crossing light was green, but their view was blocked by a car on the zig-zags."

It's not about going for a meal; it's about stopping the transmission of a virus, which may kill someone.
