Another grim day on the figures

Hospital figures - 423 deaths were announced today :(, down 33 on yesterday and up 97 on last Thursday. 317 deaths were in English hospitals, down 44 on yesterday and up 81 on last week. The 7 day rolling average rises to 318.14

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 563 deaths were announced today :(, down 32 on yesterday and up 185 on last Thursday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 401.14

For the 60 day cut off, 605 deaths were announced today , down 16 on yesterday and up 212 on last Thursday. The 7 day rolling average rises to 420.86

If a person had the coronas 2 weeks a go, recovered fine, then drops dead of a heart attack tomorrow, they're still being counted in the figures yeah?

Meh...
Think this has been explained a few times. There’s been approximately 60,000 excess deaths since March when compared to previous years. Somethings going on. Whether or not someone has Covid on their death certificate or whether someone’s niece on Facebook was told they tested positive even though they never had the test is entirely irrelevant. 60,000 more people have died (and this rise has been replicated across the world). Not sure why this is so hard to understand tbh.

So what if the cardiac arrest was due to the virus attacking the system?
It is now known that it does invade organs of many patients.
And even their brains!
At the same time

You are ruling out any possibility that anyone who has died with covid (28 days) would have lived anyway.

It doesn't have to be black and white. Seems nobody likes to hit a middle ground on the subject. It's either killing a lot of people who would have died or its killing noone that would have died.

Perhaps it's both? Perhaps a lot of people who have died to covid died despite the positive test , or were dying anyway given the average age and significant amount of underlying health issues. But that's not all of them and there are thousands who have also died before they would have otherwise.

The logic is astonishing like. That article about the person who died in a car crash having Covid written on their certificate has captured more people's imagination than the 60,000 people who have died above the annual norm

I'm still in two minds about going, I only tend to go to the supermarket once a week and I work from home. Probably should go at some point though.
Similar to me that tbh. I go into work but it's work and home with the weekly shopping trip of a weekend.

Exciting times!

Has the heart attack been brought on by Covid complications?
Is it possible that covid didn't?

This is what I don't get. People are so driven to stick by one thought process that you will try and swing EVERYTHING to covid even if it defies what reality was 7 months ago.

People do have heart attacks much the same as many other things and die from them. Given it's a positive test within 28 days that records the death according to the official sources , why does that 'heart attack' have to have possibly been caused by covid? Why even try and stretch the truth to there? lol
